Attribution
Administrative boundaries: geoBoundaries / William & Mary geoLab and its per-country sources listed below. Country outlines and Vatican City/Budapest geometry: Natural Earth (public domain). Norway’s 2024 counties: Kartverket, via robhop/fylker-og-kommuner (CC BY 4.0). Cities, coordinates, population and administrative identifiers: GeoNames (CC BY 4.0).
Changes: simplified/rounded geometry, European-territory filtering, merged same-name source fragments, corrected text encoding, translated selected region names, country/city indexing, and city-to-region matching through spatial containment and exact administrative codes/names. Budapest is added as a separate unit and its footprint removed from Pest.
These open datasets retain their respective licenses. Derived country boundary databases are distributed under their source licenses, including ODbL or CC BY-SA where applicable. The downloadable JSON files are the machine-readable modified data. GeoNames components retain CC BY 4.0 attribution. Software interface/code is separate from data licensing. Country outlines from Natural Earth remain public domain.

The application sends no visit records to a server, uses no analytics, requests no third-party map tiles, and has no accounts. Standard hosting access logs may still be retained by your provider. Backup files and downloaded maps are created on your device.
